When your best friend wants to take a trip for her bachelorette party you know there is going to be a lot of fun and a little stress too. Here are a few tips that will make your trip unforgettably the best weekend ever! (Hey, remember the time when we strolled down Bourbon street quoting Paul Rudd from Wanderlust? Yeah, that was greatness.) Enjoy these tips and feel free to comment if you have any tips of your own or bachelorette stories you would like to share!
- Have an itinerary ready to go and be sure to include everyones flight information, where you will be staying, meal reservations, and contacts for everyone. Email everyone in the group the itinerary at least a few days before the trip.
- Try to travel together as much as possible. It’s no fun being the only one stuck at the airport alone. It’s also like mama always says, “Be sure to stick together and don’t go wandering off by yourself.”
- Make reservations ahead of time. This includes, meals, shows, tours, everything! Trust me… you will be glad you called ahead.
- Communication is key and using a messenger app really helped keep the lines open.
- Plan a lingerie party/shower at the place you’re staying in. If your in multiple rooms designate one area and be sure to plan it before a big night out so that everyone is ready and looking their best.
- Have games at the shower. I know it sounds cheesy but secretly don’t we all want to drink from oddly shaped straws and play pin the tail on the donkey (no, just me?). We had a photo booth set up during the party and as you can see from above we laughed so hard and had a blast taking group shots before our dinner and night out.
- Remember to carry cash with you… a lot of places still don’t split checks or don’t take a credit card at all, especially on larger parties.
- Take lots of photos! You’re going to want to remember everything so don’t just take selfies and cell phone pics. Bring the good camera and be sure to capture everything. Waiting to share all the images with everyone is a fun surprise a week or so after it’s all over with.
- Have a night where the entire party dresses in matching outfits (plan ahead of time). You can find some great ideas on Etsy for matching shirts that have fun ways to make an entrance and let everyone know that you’re celebrating the bride to be.
- The main thing to remember is to have a good time and go with the flow. It is a special moment for the bride to be!
